What is PPGL Steel Coil?
PPGL steel coil is the prepainted galvalume coil product in the coated-steel range. Its substrate identity distinguishes it from PPGI, which is listed as a separate galvanized coil product. The current application context includes steel-structure factory buildings and building materials. A PPGL inquiry should identify the intended downstream product and the finish required for that use, rather than treating all color-coated coils as equivalent. Provide the required thickness, width, color or surface appearance and the quantity for each specification. Include any coating system, tolerance or processing requirement specified for the project so it can be confirmed during the quotation discussion. Packing instructions and destination should also accompany the RFQ. Where an order contains both PPGI and PPGL, separate the substrates and quantities clearly to avoid quoting one material as a substitute for the other.
